Central Kansas
If it's like my 8410.........you have a wonderfully engineered, state of the art, new and improved POS water pump! The water pump has a plastic impellar pressed on a steel shaft.......top of the line! LOL Really moves alot of water with the impellar standing still and the shaft going around! Tractor runs hot with very little load. The replacement is a steel impellar pressed on the steel shaft. My tractor was just out of warrenty so my costs were in the $600 range. Tried to get Mother Deere to pay for it and as usual, "No Deal"
I told Mother Deere that this was a horrible design and it's obveious they had some problems and went with a more reliable pump. I even went as far as telling them that they ought to know that any major airplane manufacter that builds airliners wouldn't put thousands of lives at risk with a POS design like this! Was not a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes, did I fail to mention that the tractor runs cool now and worries of an impellar comming unglued are near 0!
