Guelph Ontario Canada | I go to that event every year ... you are right the fans are almost retardedly close. The concrete barriers spaced every 15 ft or so and the picket wood fence arent going to stop a truck. I like to think the lower part of the track where we usually stand is marginally safer as the tucks arent moving that fast at that point. I havnt seen anything remotely close to a loss of control in the 4 times Ive been there - anything can happen however. Ive always thought that if this event was 8 hrs further south in a more populated area it would never happen for safety among other concerns.
