Your 12 volt pump should work just fine if it has enough capacity. I would think if it is a 12 row and you drive reasonable you could get away with it from a capacity standpoint. Some people use the 12 volt pumps ( they can be any capacity including a pump on each end of the electric motor) with diaphram pump. Some use controllers on them. Others use ground drive diaphram pumps, or ground drive piston pumps. So any number of pumps are used, depends on who you talk to about it. I don't like squeeze pumps from an accuracy standpoint. They may be accurate for the field, but usually suffer from a per foot of row accuracy.
