Pre 2001 planter may not work, you have to check the serial number. I have a 2001 planter that it works with, but I had the right serial number. I do know for sure the 98 planter will not work. I also have a freind with a 2001 planter that the new display would not work on, his planter was pre the serial number break. Talk with your dealer they should be able to help
