Too close to Raleigh, NC | I have a factory reconditioned Skilsaw that is going on 25 years old. No, I don't use it constantly, but it has helped build quite a few structures. I keep saying that when this one finally burns out I will get a really nice wormgear saw - but it shows no sign of giving up the ghost.
My brother just bought a reconditioned Bosch 24V power screwdriver because it was cheaper with 2 new batteries than 2 new batteries would have been. He says he can't tell it is not new. We even pulled the brushes and looked at the commutator to see if it was chewed up - a little wear, nothing out of the ordinary.
