Subject: RE: Regent insecticide

Not only is this my opinion, it has been proven as a fact by many farmers in the Eastern Illinois CRW variant area. Stay away totally from Regent. The only insecticides to use in our area are Force and Aztec. Maybe now Counter again as well. I can't comment on the Force CS, as I have never seen it in action. AGAIN, this is in our area and in your area, you may be able to get by with Regent. However, the variant is coming your way and if you want to be prepared for that, don't invest in Regent. I can't tell you how many fields I have been in over the last 10+ years that have had major problems due to the wrong RW insecticide.

Let me stress again, you may get by for a while, but you don't want to find out that Regent stopped working on your CRW beetles in June or July. That can be a BIG mess in a hurry (50+ mph winds and weak roots=mucho dollars).
