Have you ever had any freeze off after it was up? We have run into this problem notilling into hay stubble, the ground is insulated enough that the top growth can freeze dead, areas with less trash in the same field were ok, I assume it was because the open ground kept the plants a little bit warmer. This has happened with temps of about 20F in early May, barley was 2-3 leaf. Have never ran into this in tilled ground.
