Central Kansas | Plowboy....your just full of good news, arn't ya?...LOL I wanted the 1000 shaft to run a batwing mower. If the 540 has NEVER been out of it and nothing is wollowed out, I may get a new 1000 shaft(provided it's not with the tractor), install it making sure everything is tight and kept tight and run anything 540 by using an adapter at half throttle. It would only be an augur and a small 6ft mower if I elected to hook on it.
