| Was going through some #'s this morning. We are set up to beat are record of 80bu/acre wheat here in eastern KS. At average price of $8.00/bu, (sold some early), that is $640/acre. Now we are planning DC soybeans on those acres and with right conditions, can avg 35bu/acre. At average price of $11.00/bu, (could contract today for over $13.00), that is $385/acre. Folks, that is $1,025.00/acre. I think I am being very conservative with my price objectives and could gross more than that. Just putting some things in perspective. Be safe out there. | |
