I firmly believe good records are 60% of the equation. soil and plant analysis the other 40% with more weight on the plant analysis than soil analysis. Even with error free, ultra uniform soil samples soil samples will vary tremendously.
I can look at and read plant analysis data from Georgia's', NY's, Iowa's, New Mexico's labs and their data will cross reference. Their opinions as to sufficiency levels will differ, but their raw numbers will all be within 10% of each other. Not so with soil testing.
