that crop is probably yielding 1.5 - 2 T/ha, could be more. with the price we are receiving at around $350/t and the cost of production at maybe $150-200/ha, we can still make money. and this was a bad year for rainfall.
fairly descent numbers there.
my eyes took a skalley there just forward of the front of one of the combines and sometimes it can be trickier to judge a good crop without having been there.
