| Apex 2.0 did have an update come out. The update is for Apex 2.0 beta to bring it up to Apex 2.0 production with all the work they have done up to this date.
A previous poster on here indicates that there is a timeline in the new update. In a manner of speaking yes, for those users who purchased apex 1.0 - 1.5, the time line won't affect you, as long as you have the apex 2.0 beta, on the same computer that your older version of apex was activated on. If it isn't simply call the greenstar number, give them your information, and that you want to activate your 2nd license for apex. Each purchased apex dvd can be activated on two different computers. If a new computer is purchased sometime down the road and it is desired to install it on the new power house. Simply install apex on the new computer, once done. Call greenstar up and tell them you want to transfer an apex license. Be sure to run apex backup prior the transfer so you can restore the data to the new computer.
Now for those apex 2.0 beta users, whom have not bought apex to this date. yes you will then be required to purchase Apex and a local John Deere dealership. The 30 day trial is back in the program for those customers who want to try apex out without buying the program. A dealer can install apex 2.0 production on your computer, hit activate later to then run apex on the 30 day trial. At the end of that time period the customer can purchase the program and call Ma Deere to activate their bought license for the software. If not, then they can uninstall the program and pursue other alternatives.
