Get a local dealer to give you a demo of the display unit so that you can get a feel for what you like in an interface. As far as rate control goes, there are several products available but you are going to have to add section solenoids, a flowmeter and flow control with whatever system you go with. My suggestion to you would be to plumb your equipment with Raven components as most rate control products have that compatibility already. The two rate control products I would look at would be Deere and Ag Leader. I would also strongly consider adding an auto steer unit and swath control as I don't beleive you will truly reap the benefits of the rated control unit until you make your equipment drive straight and control your swath to cut down your overlap. I realize this is probably more complicated than you are intending to go but with this type of funcitonality, I think only going half way is like getting the steak without sizzle. |
