Bleedred, from looking at your posts i have to wonder if your ezsteer isn't calibrated right. Did you have someone who has done several calibrate it? it would be worth looking into if not. as to does it work better with omnistar? Yes Can you upgrade your current ezg+ and ezsteer to omnistar? kinda, you'll need to buy a 252 receiver ($5000) and you won't use your current antenna. BUT. for $6000 you can buy an EZG 500 unlocked for omnistar and you'd end up with MUCH better performance. Your question about RTK after upgrading to one of the above. it'd be the same $3000 unlock for RTK. Then, you'd need a radio ($3000-3500 for sitenet) and of course you'd need the RTK correction signal from there. If there is a Trimble (CMR) network close by that would suit all of your farms, it'd cost you the subscription (typically comparable to omni* HP). no network close by? trimble base stations are ~$14-$15000.

my advice? Get an on farm demo of the 500 on omni* any dealer should do this for you no problem. Then, if it's performance still isn't what you were thinking, then there would be alternatives (autopilot/rtk corrections) hope this helps.
