NE SD | The local Hutterite colony last year built a huge building and is now raising tropical fish including Tilapia in it. The tanks they put in that thing were huge. They're using Geo-thermal as well as LP I believe to heat the water. Water has to be like 80 degrees Farenheit to raise them. They way I understand it, Hawaii is about the closest place to get these fish and there's a big market for them on the east coast. SD is a lot closer to the east coast than Hawaii is. | |
