Missouri river bottom south of Sioux City, IA | Does anyone know how Deere’s going to guide implements? I know they announced some time ago that they were developing a system to where the tractor would shift over to keep the implement on the correct path. How is that going to work in a strip-till application where your leaving 6-inch strips in the fall and then wanting to plant on top of them in the spring without driving on any part of the strip? It’s in 30-inch rows running 18 inch wide tires. That only gives you 3 inches of movement left or right of center for the tractor to correct the implement drift. I don’t see how that is going to work if you were running in a straight pattern, let alone doing curves on side hills.
