Subject: RE: Farm Site

Deere did not provide third-party support for guidance line management with the original release of EIC (the component that third-party companies use to read and write GS2 files).   However, they have indicated that they will rectify this, and they have given all of us a build of EIC that has some advance guidance line functionality included for the ITec Pro stuff.   So, they've actually given us the ability to write some software for versions of hardware they have not released yet.

I cannot speak to whether FarmWorks has plans to support these new features.   You might ask on their forum, or likely someone from FarmWorks will respond on here after the holiday is over.

Backing up... what is missing right now is that you cannot manually draw guidance lines in any third-party software package (not just FarmWorks) and export them to a Deere card.   However, the Deere GS2 FODD does provide support for preserving guidance lines created in the field, and even letting you copy those lines from one card to another, so, FarmWorks has that ability.
