I have the priefert suto catch and like it alright. I also have a preifert manual. If you buy the blue one only get the auto catch wether you use it or not because the auto is made different and better. The cattle dont want to go through the manual very well because they have to step over part of it. The auto catch works pretty well and I use it cause I do everything by myself. Like everything else there is a learning curve involved. You cant set it any wider than you need or you will catch the hips. I have used some powder rivers and they are ok and I think are the ones that swing in and out. I do know I dont like the preifert manual.
