Milford, Illinois | When I was a kid in the late '50s and early '60s we got brucellosis in our herd of beef cattle. There was a mandatory testing program in the county, and maybe statewide, at the time. We had to send all our cattle to slaughter. I've been out of the cattle business ever since, but I was wondering what is happening now. Is brucellosis still out there or is there a vaccine available? Is it in the buffalo herds out west?
