Ripley, Ontario Canada
Not sure where cattle are heading, but if they don't go up sometime soon a lot are going to be heading for the slaughter house here (cows at least). Fats in Ont are in the 70-80 cents live range and with one major packer that has cut a shift (or part of ) in the last little while, there will be a lot of cattle sold around here. Throw in the new source water regulations, nutrient management, and an average age over 60, with the better cash crop prices, and I think there will be a lot less cattle in Ontario over the next few years.
