Couple quick answers, I do not use Lorsban at this time. I had used it for years, then in interest of rotating chemicals I now am using Aztec one year and then Force the next year. Poncho 250 and 1250 are both weak on cutworms. Here I feel that with the insect spectrum I am seeing in past history and pre-plant scouting the soil insecticides are still a very good idea. Here if I have Poncho 250 or low rate Cruiser treated seed, I cut the soil insecticide rates to the minimum recommended rate.
Herculux is available from several seed suppliers. Excellent product. I had Bird B42 HX in a test plot last year and it did extremely well. I have a Pioneer Herculux this year and I will report on it after harvest.
