I hear it on that link, at about half volume.  I couldn't hear it on television when I saw and heard the report on it, but the wife could hear it.

Added later:  I played the link for my wife today, she said it was not the same tone she heard on the TV news story that I could not hear.  We heard it at the same volume, about half way on our computer.  She said the one on TV was much higher pitch.

There must be several variations of the tone?
