The idea of making a map where all users would be shown has come up a few times now. I've looked into it a bit and come to the conclusion that it is easily done. The best way in my opinion would be to use Google Maps. They now have a feature where anyone can create their own maps. Q. 1 - Are there enough people interested in this project to make it worthwhile? There are no costs involved. In order to do this a google account would need to be setup. Q. 2 - There are two ways of doing this: 1- One person opens an account and does all the editing ( I don't mind doing it )
or 2 - An account will be opened and the username and password will be published and everyone will have access and do the editing themselves. ( fairly easy by the way ) My own little sample is below. You can add pictures, hyperlinks, text, etc. to the bubble aswell. I understand not everyone is keen on giving away their exact location, so putting a flag on the closest town would be OK. That's what I'm doing. Comments and opinions welcome. Google Maps
