I had the same thing the other day and a soft reset made no difference, an update made no difference, and finally a hard reset fixed it. Like you said I found out later that putting it in advanced will cure the problem without having to reset. The fix for that glitch is supposed to be in a update coming out this winter. One thing I found is that it makes life easier to save your configuration to a usb stick before you do a hard reset.
