Subject: RE: Poison Hemlock or wild parsnip?

Virginia
Poison hemlock grows anywhere here. Does well on well-drained soil. Gets at least 6' tall and has a very distinctive nasty smell. It's still mostly in fence rows, noncrop areas but I'm seeing more of it moving into cropland and hayfields. Other descriptions posted above are accurate. When it gets established it becomes thick -quick, fast and in a hurry. Nasty stuff!!
