Owens Cross Roads, AL
I will plant my double crop beans with my 750 drill and some of my full season beans on 15" rows. If the weather is right, I want to be able to put a lot of beans in the ground quick. That is the reason for the wide row planter. I have a case ih 900 plate planter set up for 20" rows that does an excellent job, but it is the pits to transport with the end transport wheels. It has 11 rows with 2 30" middles for tram lines, it plants a full 20' and works great with my 6700 sprayer. It takes a lot of muscle to put the wheels up and having to hook and unhook takes a lot of time with my small fields. I am considering buying a kinze with splitters or a 30' case ih 5500 drill, but I rather not spend any money on equipment, I need the cash for fertilizer.
