SE Nebraska | I think hybrid selection for good stay green and leaf orientation helps immensely. We have had a many a trouble with late weeds in August recently in this area, mainly due to dry Julys killing off corn leaf area prematurely and then plenty of moisture in August coupled with sunlight infiltration. Adding a residual herbicide to the Post glyphosate application seems to help some.
