I'm just north of you about 30 miles. We're under the impression that you can more than double the amount of N with the seed. Because its in the plastic coating, it's pretty safe up front. Not sure I'd go and put 80-90 lbs with the seed though. We did put 60 lb with our winter wheat this fall. Seems to be OK so far! My concern is that the N will be available to late in the growing season if it is applied with the seed in spring time. I've seen pictures of Winter wheat with 100 lb applied. It seemed to have delayed it somewhat. The extra 10 cents/lb is a big drawback in my opinion.
