Apex 2.0 beta will NOT screw up any data if you take these simple steps.
1. Install using default settings, Apex 2.0 will install into a separate directory.
2. DO NOT "Upgrade" data from Apex 1. It means your data will remain separate until you feel comfortable enough to Upgrade.
