Never saw anything like that around here. I'm no engineer but wouldn't that thing want to tip over when it is about 1/2 empty if you didn't have those sloped pipes down to the ground? Seems like it would. I'd sure hate to have that thing tip over on me. You'd be squashed flat in an instant.
