Subject: Re: to bin warm corn

Wheatley, Arkansas
Bob, we are in the mid-south between Little Rock, AR. and Memphis TN. We have a 103,000 bu. and a 65,000 bu bin full of 14-15% corn. We ran our fans for about a week after drying the bins full. We are not running fans now unless the temps are forecast to be below 70 at night, when we do get some cold temp we will run the fans. It is hard to cool corn below 50 degrees here, but we have not had any problems with grain quality, sometimes storing until late may or early June. Like others have posted we too do not run the fans to warm the grain up in the spring/summer time period.Myo2
