What ever happened to "Poast protected" a.k.a. "Sethoxydim Resistant" corn? University of Minnesota has a patent on it, in fact, I think a few hybrids may have even been developed.

It died out in a hurry when RR corn came out. Maybe because glyphosate is a broader spectrum weed killer than Poast or Select, But I sure have to wonder whether something fishy didn't go on between Monsanto, Basf, and the University of Minnesota being that if PP or SR corn were also available, and with all of the cross pollination going on, Poast or select would soon be ineffective in controlling glyphosate resistant volunteer corn.

There cannot be any Poast or Select resistant hybrids grown to any commercial extent or else there would be a huge mess out there with uncontrollable volunteer corn.

Perhaps they are selling more poast and select than ever because it is they are the only chemicals that can kill RR and now LL eight way stacked corn, even more than if PP or SR corn were planted to any significant quantity.
