I'm just SW of Winnipeg. Heavy clay land, very flat, can be very productive. Too much moisture is usually the problem rather than too little. We actually do better if its a little on the dry side. A slope of 1 foot per mile is pretty typical. If I could make maps that just show the lay of the land, for a reasonalbe cost it would be great. Most times its hard to tell what direction is down hill just doing it by eye. Sometimes it is just plain flat.
