NW Washington | A lot of mint is grown around North Judson. They have to dig mint roots to get starts to plant into new fields and they use a rig that looks like a spud digger.
Once established the mint stays for several years as a perennial crop. In that country they will plow the mint fields real shallow in late fall or early winter and the next year the mint is back again.
I guess their might be a few acres or potatoes or even onions around there too, but mint would be my first guess. | |
