Subject: RE: Beans are turning here

Hoisington, KS
I've read and been told it's better to cut the beans a little wet than wait til their too dry because of shattering and weight loss. How wet is too wet? I tried some this year for the first time and hope to get them cut in about a month and get wheat drilled back into them. I drilled a 3.8 on May 18 and I think this last week they are starting to turn color or dry down. The pods are still green and the seeds look like they've reached the right size.
