Virginia
Check out page 37 in the '08 Dekalb seed resource guide. $700 million invested annually on bean breeding. We put out Dekalb test plot last year and again this year. Agree with most everything you're saying. Planted 90% RR corn this year and sprayed about 65% of it with glyphosate. We have a lot of johnsongrass pressure and crop safety is a plus with RR. Also about 75% of our corn is double or triple stacked with alot of it going into continuous corn. Will let you know how the test plot goes. A lot of the varieties we plant aren't used in the midwest. We do plant a lot of 61-45, 61-66, and 63-39. Dekalb man here says 62-99 is the one to watch. 63-46 looks really good to me. Corn was planted April 25 and is still 4-6 weeks from harvest. Enjoyed reading your comments.
