Subject: hello erin

West Texas
Tropical weather doesn't make it's way 500 miles against prevailing winds to my parts very often, and there's plenty of time to watch it arrive.

So far, no surprises. Bands of heavy downpours all afternoon changing to steady rain. Radar shows Big Spring and San Angelo to be getting the most rain. My part of the radar picture shows only light green or gray. Yeah right. The Bald Spot. Tell it to the 3/4 inch in the rain gauge.

It's cool, high's in 70's... good for grass, not so good for cotton. Good for the wifes' mood, good for me, too.  :-)

As tropical events go, Erin is wet and blustery, more remains to be seen.

Anybody else getting affected by Erin?
