Subject: RE: No Seed wheat in central KS

north central Oklahoma
I have only 300 acres going back to wheat this fall. Too many abandoned acres at harvest, and dang little rain so far to germ all that seed on the ground, I ain't taking the risk of planting what back on those acres. However, I thought the wheat damage only extended up to about Wichita latitude and south of there. How is there a shortage of wheat on north. I had heard from my custom cutter friends that yields were good north of the Wichita area and beyond. Did I miss something?
