| This is what my dealer told me when I asked about mapping coverage area while spreading manure. There is no boom switch in my case. I have the y connector with the remote connected to one side and nothing to the other. The Trimble product is p/n 52033 $95.00. I balked at $95 for a short cable so he gave me this.

3 Tx data
4 Ext. Input Ext. Input (C) WHT
5 GND GND GND (B) BLK
6 serial data serial data
7 serial clock serial clock
8 Ext. output Ext. output (A) RED
9 Pwr out 5V Pwr out 5V
Connect pins 4 and 5 and you should be counting acreage.
In your case you could probably connect your boom switch activated relay to close pins 4 and 5.
I can't say if it works as I switched the spreader to a tractor that counts acreage and never made up this cable.
