blairsville,pa
We have a 9500 4x4 combine that we take hmc off for a neighbouring with, he has a self propeled harvester and we talked bout trading services. The pasture is my main concern, I know I could lock it up for 15 yrs. But after that I dunno...... My thought for double crop was plant silage corn on last years bean ground chop the corn, no till barley, chop it in may, no till full season beans, no till rye on bean stubble, burn it off in the spring then grain corn.. just not sure if the ground would keep up wanted to do it on the farms closest to where the cattle would be. Figured we'd pound pound the manure to it and just keep up with the soiltests to see if were losing our fertility base....
