Subject: Re: Jay-Lor vs. Kuhn Knight TMR

NW Iowa
Traded our 4650 jaylor off today for a penta 6020. Been trying one out for a week and love it. better mix with not a single dead spot. Our jaylor always had a dead spot in the front by the discharge door.
The main reason for trading is the undercarriage on this thing is terrible it has 4 wheels 2 on each oscillating axle. Think in 1 years time we have replaced every tire once and 2 of them twice. Knives are expensive for the jaylor think its about 900 per screw. Conveyer seems to be built light and can never keep the chain tight. also been haveing trouble with it bringing feed on the bottom tray them we bend the conveyor bars.
In comparing the jaylor and penta the penta sits more solid than the jaylor. The jaylor rocks all different directions where as the penta doesn't at all. Have heard a lot of the same about the knight along with trouble getting parts for the knight can be problem.
Just my thoughts but a jaylor will never be on this yard again
