Subject: RE: What is corn silage worth?

NC Indiana
If you search this board, it has been discussed several times. Seems to depend on quality and region. I've seen guys post anywhere from the price of corn x6 (bu/ton) to the price of corn x 10. The only price I've heard locally has been $46/ton and that was standing corn. We're learning corn silage feeding right now. Right now we're working the calves up on it feeding w/ chore buckets, but Dad is going to look at 5 hay/silage feeder wagons today. Plan to get up to 30#/day w/ free choice hay and mineral. I posted our silage test results a couple weeks ago below if you need an idea on what you might be looking at.
