north west arkansas | I haven't creep feed any calves the last few years with feed being so high, but we are really short on hay this so I was thinking about creeping some calves to help out. I normally feed a 5 way commodity mix and right now it is running $278 a ton. Our coop just got a new corn byproduct pellet that is 13% protein 2/12% fat for $230 a ton, but I am wondering if it would be better or cheaper to creep feed with alfalfa hay. I would really appreciate everyone thoughts. TIA | |
