Baldwin City, KS
Sustain III is a bolus isn't it? For some reason, I am thinking that is the brand name on my big old box of sulfa pills. I treated a really sick replacement heifer that I found Thanksgiving day with Draxxin. I was going to use Nuflor, but I found just enough Draxxin left in a bottle from when we mass treated some calves last year that got sick and figured it was a good time to use it up. I had counted her for dead, but the Draxxin has brought her around. It is slower than Nuflor, as I think it might take up to 3 days to start them to feeling good, however I think if you give banamine or Dex, it keeps them propped up till the meds kick in. It's expensive for sure and I would prefer to start with another drug, but I sure wouldn't want to not have access to a bottle of Draxxin, just in case.
