Subject: baled corn stalks a little too damp

central ohio
I baled corn stalks a week ago. Thought they were dry enough but there was more moisture in the stalks than i thought. Walked into the barn i have them stored in today and caught a bad ammonia smell. . I moved some bales that were stacked and a little steam came off. I checked the temperature with my hay probe and it was up to 103. Any advice on the best thing to do with the bales. I have a gravel drive that i don't have to use near barn that i could lay them out in lines but they would be exposed to the weather. They have net wrap so that would shed water some. Any advice would be appreciated. The bales are to be used for bedding and feed ration for dairy heifers. I will need to watch for mold also i would assume.
