| Ideally the numbers show that our supply is not meeting the demand , but what is the buying power of the comsumers dollar . Is there the added income in 2012 for them to purchase protien at 1976 levels ? Has the American consumer changed their protien buying habits because of health propaganda ? Has the lack of education (home ec classes) changed the protien market ? Just random windy day thoughts.
Watch the food network cooking shows , you rarely see them use a common cut of meat . Other than the BBQ shows , it's Kolbie beef or or some special blend of ground meat . It seems this would good place for beef check off dollars to go and promote American beef.
