Southeast South Dakota | Got to pondering the other day ........
How fast can you get a group of cows to change their BCS? I would assume it can go down faster than up, but ......
Let's say you started feeding a crappy ration, how soon would you be able to tell it? 1 week, 1 month, etc.....
Or on the other end if you started feeding a really good ration to raise some BCS on a group, when would you be able to tell?
Is it very dependent on environmental conditions? mud, heat, cold or not so much?
Is it more dependent on stage of life (which trimester of pregnancy, size of the nursing calves, etc)
