I second the above statement about like genetics, don't like the BW CED numbers for a heifer. Add in hybrid vigor and we would get extra education of pulling calves and how to bury a heifer. Trouble starts with getting the head out. Going to the effort to AI would be easy decision to use an angus bull known for his calving ease. We call it reinventing the wheel. Get a live calf, let the hefier grow to maturity and use the bull of your choice, the second year. Very Simple.
