Haven't you had to chip your way in to get that center popped out in the dead of winter yet? I prefer wrenches/pliers to ice pick, screwdriver, hammer and even had to get an electric heater and tarp one time we didn't have any cattle in a pen for a couple weeks in the cold part of winter and the float froze. Nothing busted, luckily, but it sure wasn't fun to remedy. They are nice the rest of the year, for sure. By the way, the new cover arrived today! Very good service!
