NC Indiana | Gave $850 for neighbor's 3-8 yrs olds (Maine based cows). Pick them up tomorrow. Passed on 3 in 1's last month @ $1200 (4 hrs one way, couldn't load semi, crops weren't ready). Local guy has 25 B. Angus cows for $1500, nice cows, but not sure they will sell. There have been several bred cows (heifers, 2nd calvers, up) listed for $850-$1000/ all fall here. Gave $1.10 for black and red 6 wts (no work done) calves off the above cows. Looking at more next week for $1.05-$1.10 (Gelv based). I sold '97,'98, and '99 models last weekend, been w/ bull since June 12th, brought $65 on 1425 ave. | |
